Privacy Policy
Last updated [month] [year]
Modern Mayhem Society ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or order from modernmayhemsociety.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Order information. When you check out, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment details to process your order. We receive your order details and shipping info, but your full card number is never stored on our servers.
- Contact information. If you sign up for our email list or contact us directly, we collect your email address and whatever you choose to share with us.
- Shopping cart. Items you add to your cart are stored in your browser's local storage so your cart is there when you come back — this stays on your device and isn't sent to us until you check out.
- Usage data. [If/when you add analytics — e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible — describe what's collected here: pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location, etc.]
How we use your information
- To process, fulfill, and ship your orders
- To communicate with you about your order, or respond to questions
- To send marketing emails, but only if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe any time
- To improve the Site and understand how it's used
- To detect and prevent fraud
Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the shop:
- Stripe, to process payments securely
- Our shipping carrier, to deliver your order
- [Any email marketing service you connect, e.g. Mailchimp/Klaviyo]
- Law enforcement or other parties, only when required by law
Cookies & local storage
The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember what's in your shopping cart. [If you add analytics or advertising cookies later, describe them here and how visitors can opt out.]
Data retention
We keep order information for as long as needed for accounting, legal, and customer service purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to our legal obligations (e.g. tax records).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, email us at [email protected].
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
